I hope everyone had a happy and blessed New Year. Today we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord. The word epiphany means to manifest or make known. On Epiphany we celebrate three events that manifested the mission and divinity of Christ: the visit of the Magi, the baptism of the Lord, and the miracle at Cana. Next Sunday is the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord. This feast concludes the Christmas season. January is Poverty Awareness Month. Visit PovertyUSA [http://www.povertyusa.org/] for education on economic justice, resources for prayer, and key conduits for action. 2022 calendars are available near the entrances to the church. Special thanks to our women’s group and the Knights of Columbus, St. Christopher Council #13333, for sponsoring our parish calendars. We are getting close to our UPCSA goal for this year. Thank you to everyone who made a pledge so far! We would like to receive a response from every parish family. Thank you for your faithful stewardship! Thank you to everyone for your Christmas greetings, cards, and gifts. I am very grateful for your thoughtfulness and kindness to me. It was a blessing to celebrate my first Christmas and New Year at St. Christopher Parish. I hope the New Year is filled with many blessings for everyone. Sincerely yours, Fr. Dan
