This Friday, February 11 is the World Day of the Sick. This observance takes place every year on February 11, the memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes. The theme for 2022 is: “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful” (Lk 6:36): Standing beside those who suffer on a path of charity.” Informaton about this observance and a link to the Holy Father’s message can be found on the website of the Dicastery for Promotng Integral Human Development https://www.humandevelopment.va/. On the World Day of the sick let’s pray for all those suffering from illness, especially those whose health has been impacted by the COVID as well as healthcare workers, care-givers, and family members. Last Thursday, February 3 was the memorial of St. Blaise. He was a physician who was martyred during the persecution of Emperor Licinius. St. Blaise is invoked for diseases and troubles of the throat. We will have the blessing of throats after this weekend’s Masses. Our next pasty sale is this Wednesday, February 9. Orders can be placed using our new online order form located on our website: https://stchristophermqt.org/pasty. Thank you for your ongoing support of this parish fundraiser. Because of the continuing surge of COVID infections and hospitalizations in our area we are asking everyone to wear N95 or KN95 masks at St. Christopher Church. Masks available at the entrances of the church. Have a blessed week, Fr. Dan
